CoreInto client guide: Client area templates (Classic and Horizon) overview with the main sections of the article

The client area comes in two templates, chosen under General Settings, "Client area template". Both start with the same pages, features and texts; the shell around the pages differs.

Each template is one folder in templates/ (next to app/), complete on its own: its pages (.php), its assets/ folder (base.css, client.css, app.js, favicon.svg, logo.svg) and template.json (title, description, version, author). Nothing is shared between templates or with the admin area. In a folder, _start.php is the top of every page, _end.php the bottom, _head.php the HTML head; files starting with _ are pieces used inside pages, and the others are the pages, named after them (dashboard.php, store.php, invoice.php...).

Your own template. Download a template folder (for example templates/classic), rename it (lowercase letters, digits, - and _, for example my-shop), set the title and description in its template.json, change its pages and assets, and upload it into templates/. It is listed under General Settings, "Client area template", at once, as "Title: description (folder)". In pages, link the template's own files with $app->templateAsset('name.css'). Pages cannot use inline styles or scripts (the security policy blocks them). If the chosen folder is removed, the client area uses Classic. The pages of a template are never served directly; its assets/ are. Updates replace classic and horizon only: keep your own folders when updating by hand, and compare them with the new Classic when a release adds pages.

  • Classic (the default): a strip with the company email and phone, a masthead with icon menus, and an account sidebar on the client pages. The Layout section below describes it.
  • Horizon: an application shell. A signed-in client sees a dark side menu on the left with the Order New Services button, My Account (Dashboard, Services, Domains, Invoices, Quotes, Support Tickets, Affiliates, with counts), the open page's own blocks (the dashboard's Shortcuts, a service's Service Actions, a ticket's Ticket Information and so on), Shop, Help, and the account card at the bottom; a top bar with a knowledgebase search, the cart, the theme switch, the notifications bell and the user menu; and a compact footer. Visitors and the store get a light header with the brand, a pill menu (Home, Hosting, Domains, Support) and Sign in and Client Area buttons, with the four-column footer. On phones the side menu slides in from the left. Horizon uses rounded cards, indigo accents, pill tabs and coloured icon tiles, and it has light and dark modes like Classic.
