CoreInto client guide: Client area layout and menus overview with the main sections of the article

Every page starts with a thin strip. On the left it shows the company email address and, when "Company phone" is set, the phone number. On the right: the cart with its number of items, the light/dark switch and, when signed in, a bell with the account's notices (unpaid invoices with the amount due, tickets with a new reply, domains expiring within 30 days; "Nothing needs your attention." when there are none) and a menu under the person's initials and name: Account Details, User Management (when "Account owners may invite and manage other users" is on), Payment Methods, Contacts, Email History, Affiliates (when the affiliate programme is on), Security Settings, Switch Account (when the person can use more than one account) and Sign out. Visitors see Sign in and, when visitors may register, Register.

Under the strip is the masthead with the company logo (or name), the main menu and an Order button (Client Area for visitors on public pages):

  • Visitors: Home, Hosting (All Products and the product groups that are not hidden), Domains (Register a New Domain, Transfer Domains to Us), Support (Knowledgebase, Announcements, Network Status, Downloads, Contact Us).
  • Signed-in clients, according to the user's permissions: Dashboard, Services (My Services, Order New Services, View Available Add-ons), Domains (My Domains, Renew Domains, Register a New Domain, Transfer Domains to Us), Billing (My Invoices, My Quotes, Payment Methods, Add Funds), Support (Tickets, Open a Ticket, Knowledgebase, Announcements, Downloads, Network Status).

The Store tab of General Settings changes this menu (see Settings): the store menu's title is the one set there ("Hosting" or, for a software seller, "Products"), and with the flat layout each product group is its own menu item followed by one for the whole store; the Domains menus, links and pages are left out when domain registration is off; and the Services menu and its pages take the word chosen for purchases ("My Licences", "Order a Licence", with a key icon, for a software seller).

View Available Add-ons (/client/addons) lists the client's active and pending services with the add-ons that can be ordered for each, with the price at the service's term; Add to cart puts the add-on in the cart and checkout creates the order and invoice as for any product, the add-on being activated when the order is accepted. Renew Domains (/client/domains/renew) lists the client's domains with their expiry date, a period select with the renewal price per period and a Renew button each, and tick boxes with "Renew selected" that make one invoice with a line per domain; domains that already have an open renewal invoice are skipped and named. Visitors who open these addresses are sent to sign in.

Two bars can appear under the masthead: "You are signed in as this client by a staff member." when staff opened the account from the admin area, and, when email confirmation is on and the person's address is not confirmed, "Please confirm your email address with the link we sent to ..." with a "Send it again" button.

Signed-in pages under /client/ have a sidebar on the left. At its top is the account card: the person's initials, name, company, the account's status badge and the account credit. Below come the page's own shortcut blocks (the dashboard's Shortcuts, a service's Service Actions, a domain's Domain Actions, a ticket's Ticket Information and so on), then My Account (Dashboard, Services, Domains, Invoices, Quotes, Support Tickets, with a count on Invoices and Tickets when something is unpaid or newly answered) and Settings (the same links as the account menu). On narrow screens the sidebar folds into a button above the page.

The footer has four columns: the company (its name, the "Pay to" address and the social links set in General Settings), Hosting (All Products and the six best sellers: featured products first, then the products with the most services, each linking to its order page), Domains and Support. The line beneath shows the copyright, Contact Us (when the contact form is on), Terms of service (when a terms address is set), Client Area, and a language menu when more than one language is installed and the setting "Clients may choose their language" is on. Choosing a language (/lang/CODE) remembers it in the browser for a year and, for a signed-in person, on their account, then returns to the same page.

Statuses have the same colours everywhere in the client area as in the admin area: green for active and paid, amber for pending and unpaid, red for overdue, suspended and terminated, grey for cancelled and closed, blue for in-progress states such as a ticket answered by staff.
